Which jin? Modern mainland China: 1 jin = 500 g. Hong Kong and Taiwan catty definitions differ; this tool does not use them.

Kilograms to jin conversion chart

Use jin = kilograms × 2. A 45–55 kg body-weight range corresponds to 90–110 jin on a mainland seller’s chart. Select a value in the first column to load it into the tool. Table results in pounds are rounded to four decimals.

How to use the result

A listing marked 建议体重 90–110斤 recommends a body weight of 45–55 kg. Enter 90–110 above to convert both endpoints at once. This is a weight range, not a guarantee that the garment will fit; compare chest, waist and garment measurements too.

How many jin are in 1 kg?

Exactly 2 modern mainland jin. For example, 60 kg × 2 = 120 jin. A kilogram price and a jin price use the inverse relationship: a price per kg is twice the price per jin.

Why does the last decimal change?

The tool calculates using the full unit factors and rounds the displayed answer to at most six decimal places. Very small values use scientific notation. Swapping uses the calculated value rather than a rounded display string; copying includes the unit and the method.

Method and sources

Taizhou government unit table supports the mainland 500 g jin. The pound factor follows NIST SP 811, Appendix B, note 22 (PDF). The word catty alone is region-dependent: confirm the seller’s location before using a conversion.
